Joanna Joy Measer Kanow

Joanna Measer Kanow is a writer, activist, environmentalist, mother, and tree planter. With a degree in Conservation Resource Studies from UC Berkeley, Kanow has been working to protect the environment her whole life: be it by owning a green building material showroom, to running a Carbon Neutral coalition, to starting a tree-planting non-profit organization called Seas of Trees that plants trees all over the world. And now, she has authored a book that she hopes will inspire others to take action to fight climate change in order to protect the environment, open spaces, air, land and water. When not writing, Joanna is skiing, hiking, biking, practicing yoga, and planting trees in her hometown of Telluride, Colorado with her husband and two daughters.
